But in the 5th, two HBP reached base. With two outs, he gave up a 2-run double. His one bad pitch. But for 4.2 IP, he allowed just one run on a balk.
Jack Dreyer relieved Romero and gave up a single allowing the third run in the inning to score. In the 6th, Dreyer allowed 1 run on a double and 3 singles.
In the 7th, Andre Lipcius hit his 11th HR of the season for the only OKC run of the game.

I will be at the OKC – Sacramento game on Saturday Night. I will not be able to publish MiLB results for Saturday.
I know nothing and have read nothing on Cartaya’s swing. Has it shortened up?
the low level talent: Munoz, Linen, Perez, Quintero is interesting
*Welcome back J-Hey. Nice to see that HR on his first game back.
*I thought Paxton threw fine. I love no walks. He has that knack for effectively throwing fastballs at the top of the zone and working his secondary pitches off that. An unfortunate homer in 6th sort of tarnished the outing at the time but the Dodgers came back after giving up a lead. Nice to see.
*Treinen’s stuff is so nasty. Damn, he has late movement. When Phillips comes back, Treinen, Hudson and Phillips will make some formidable, back end.
*I find myself really rooting for Pages. I really like the kid and hope he can weather his recent slump. Nice to see his hit as well as the entire order get at least one hit, except Freddie.
*Grove has found a nice niche. He’s looked great as a one inning guy.
*Will Smith will see so many RBI opportunities and he’s hitting a cool .327 w/ risp. Good strategy to walk Freddie ahead of him but Will made them pay.
*Lux has played good D and made a nice glove-side play but lost the ball on the transfer. Great try. I would expect that to be changed to a base hit. In no way was that a routine play. I did notice he has a very large glove for a second baseman.
*I can’t remember who mentioned Elly De La Cruz’s size yesterday and him being skinny but he is all of 6’5’ and 200. He is an athlete with unusual speed and skills as a SS. I saw him live alot at spring training and guys with his skills and size don’t come along very often. He’s a freak and fun to watch. Fortunately we kept him off the bases last night. The same defense applies to him as Billy Hamilton. You can’t steal first base.
Nice win.
Great to see DePaula, George and Perez on hot streaks. All three are very interesting in their own ways and could be major contributors at some point.
From the talented Sam Miller:
Thirty-eight times this year Elly De La Cruz has reached first base with second base empty.

Someone break the news to Jeff.
Knack has been scratched from his start for OKC tonight.
Hasn’t been decided for sure yet, but he may be tomorrow’s Dodger starter according to Doc.
Buehler looking good. 6 IP, 0 R, 7 SO, 0 BB. A very good sign.
